SIESO provides a proactive and constructive forum between industry, commerce and the regulatory authorities, for sharing ideas, experience and best practice.
Established in 1953 as the Society of Industrial Civil Defence Officers, it became the Society of Industrial Emergency Services Officers in 1973 but is now known simply a SIESO (pronounced Syso). Members come from all areas of industry, commerce, central and local government, the emergency services and health authorities.
While most members work within the United Kingdom, an increasing number is based overseas.
